Last March 2010, I was asked by my company to provide some information with regards to my Home Development Mutual Fund also known as Pag-ibig. I started working since 2003 from different companies until later on I found a job that I stayed for more than 4 years. Within that span of years (7 yrs) I was not able to get hold some details or information of my past contributions.
HDMF or Pag-ibig was created and established by Philippine government to aid financial help and services to its members. It is basically one of the requirements that every company (private/public) should follow and by that, every employee in the Philippines should be a member of pag-ibig. One of the basic benefit or program it provide is housing loan which for me is so important.
But let’s face it, its quite hard to call our government agencies since most people inquire through phone so I thought it is best if I go online and look for an option.
I was happy to learn that I could actually make some inquiry online and ask about my monthly contribution with different companies I have worked with.
So I sent an email last Mar 01, 2010 provided my previous employment details and I got the response the next day (Mar 02, 2010) which I am so grateful about.
For inquiries on your Pag-ibig fund you may send an email to; publicaffairs@pagibigfund.gov.ph
or you can visit their official website –>>> here.

Here in the Philippines, the easiest and most common way to get an internet connection is through broadband. Internet provider such as Sun cellular, Smart and Globe are the first ones to release a usb prepaid/postpaid kit for internet users who prefer to have a wireless connection with a speed up to 2mbps.
With my previous post about Globe Tattoo Super Surf, I find the service a bit good in a way that prepaid users can access the internet for as low as 50 pesos in 1-day. A good deal if you want to surf much longer compare it with the regular 10-peso charge every 30 minutes of internet use.
The only thing that I happen to get noticed lately after registering to Supersurf is, most of the time you’ll get the “Please Try Again Later” text message from them. I went to their site and there are subscribers that are in the same boat as I am.

Also, I have noticed a variation of speed when you are using SuperSurf. Most of the time I get slower internet speed connection, I find the regular surfing (without using supersurf) much more reliable and faster. Was it just me? or most prepaid users are having some hard time with Globe Tattoo as well?
Anyway, I am still waiting for Globe’s response to my query regarding this matter and hopefully to get some good feedback. I will update this blog soon.
I hope there will be more improvement from Globe Tattoo’s service. I bet every prepaid and post-paid subscribers would love to have a great service from all internet service provider here in the Philippines.

Friendster gradually evolved from being a simple social networking site to a more innovative portal and activity online. I remember four years ago, Friendster is one of the most popular social site specifically for Asian region and here in the Philippines. Now, they have launched varieties of games, online activities that are much better than what they used to offer. A great step to compete with their top competitor, Facebook. If you haven’t visited the site yet you will see great improvement on the site which includes photo tagging, featured fan profiles, more fun games and the site itself has a fabulous new look.
I received an email from them few days ago about their newest contest online.
Friendster members/users will have a chance to take home an iPad by doing the following steps;
- Becoming a fan of Friendster Games Official Profile
- By installing any Friendster’s featured games
- Inviting at least 5 friends to install the game from playground
- By playing and qualifying on a required character level ; Boomz ~ level 8 War2 ~ level 5 (City Hall)
By doing so, you will have the chance to get 1 of 3 brand new iPads. This contest is only available for members from Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Contest will run from May 7 to June 3, 2010. See here for more details.

I recently saw Jessica Simpson’s interview in Ellen and find myself laughing to hear her say she don’t like brushing her teeth.
At first I find it funny but, I somehow find it weirdly disgusting. It is so obvious she has a perfect smile and extremely white teeth to take her comments seriously.
I love Jessica Simpson for being so humble and down to earth. Shes one of those artist who doesn’t care what others would think or say about her. I applaud her for being so true and shes indeed so funny and sweet.
She may not brush her teeth 3 times a day but shes definitely a fine gorgeous lady. So lets deal with it. LOL.

Finally, Globe Tattoo released a new promo for its prepaid subscribers who loves to surf the net all day and all night. I actually have a Globe Tattoo Broadband USB that I use whenever I want to stay connected with my friends anytime, anywhere. It has been my survival kit whenever I am out for travel and want to stay in touch with my online buddies.
I have tried Super Surf just yesterday and it works pretty fine. I like it a lot! Although, other prepaid broadband companies have already started this type of promo months ago still, it is better late than never globe. LOL. And besides, the 10 pesos per 30 minutes charge for the regular surfing are a bit unreasonable for internet savvy like me. Hello to that?!
Globe Tattoo Super Surf is currently available for Prepaid subscribers (globe tattoo prepaid and globe prepaid) and you can unlimitedly access the internet either from your pc or mobilephone. So you can either super surf via your blackberry or notebook. Cool!
Registration process is done thru text.

Today’s food trip is another type of street food that can be found mostly in every corner of Manila. Kwek-Kwek is basically boiled chicken eggs dipped or coated with some kind of orange batter, fried and usually served with some vinegar and salt. It is actually my favorite kind of street food aside from the infamous chicharon bituka and fish balls. Its orange coating is somewhat makes the food appetizing and delicious. The batter is basically consist of flour, water, food coloring, pepper and salt to taste.
Aside from kwek-kwek another typical street food that are commonly sold in the Philippines are Tokneneng and Fried Balut. Tokneneng is another fried coated boiled egg but this time it is a quail egg. It is rather small and tastier than the first one. I like it most when dipped with some chili sauce and vinegar. But hey! It sure small but the calorie it has are much higher than those of chicken eggs.
Balut is another unique food that our country are known to have. I am not a fan of balut because I have this weird-crazy experience eating it but, some would actually prefer this exotic delicacy than anything else. My dad loves it as well as my sister. They both like fried balut and guess what, they even eat it with rice. Funny right?!
Above is a photo I have taken in the street of Pasig where I usually buy my favorite tokneneng.

It was just few weeks ago when my sister and I went for a stroll on one of our favorite place to hangout. I have been going to this place for quite sometime and always noticed the unique amenities it offers to the public. One of which is Indoor Wall Climbing, I was amazed on how they were able to conceptualize such theme and I am dying to give it a try and see if rock/wall climbing is really that cool!
But I was so scared when I saw how high it was (haha!) so I just watched how this sport works and visit the whole place as well.

Camp Sandugo offer sport enthusiasts’ an indoor gym where you can do some bouldering and climbing. They also have rappelling and a shop where they sell some sports gear, climbing equipment and apparel. I personally like Sandugo sandals and they have recently featured Survivor Philippines on some of their few items which include bags, footwear and shirts. I find their store really unique and their staff so kind and accommodating to answer some of my query.

It only costs Php 140.00 for unlimited wall climbing (per person) but you can also try single climb if you want to just reach the top of the wall, which only costs Php 50. If you are wanting a Belayer assistance they will charge you Php 200. It is one of a kind sport shop and it made wall climbing fun and easy (at least for my sister!)
I will definitely try it out myself and climb on top of that wall one of this day.
Camp Sandugo is located at 5th Level, Market! Market! 26th Street cor. C5 Boni. Global City, Taguig
