Visiting Rainforest Park in Pasig City

So it’s been awhile since my last blog! Other things has been sorta taking over my life at this point, but hey! like any other things we do, we need some break and see what is more important to us ~ and I guess blogging is one of those important things. :)

Anyway, summertime is here yet again and all we want to do is to take some splash, go at the park ~ breath some fresh air and even have some stroll. But did you know that there is a place (just in the metro) wherein you can take a swim and even go to park (zoo, garden, etc.) at a cheaper cost?

Pasig City- Rainforest Park is a public resort and amusement park. It both have Water Theme Park and a Mini Zoo that families and friends can enjoy. The resort also has Botanical Garden, Sports area-Tennis Club, Basketball Court & Fitness Center and Children’s Playground to name a few.

We went there just recently and found out that they are making some huge renovation for their Water theme park as well as other amenities.  I thought that it was great since they offer their park free (well, most of it) or if not free, ~ at a very cheap price compared to other parks available.

Rainforest Water Park has currently four swimming pools which includes large-size swimming pool, kiddie pool and a slide. The pools are clean and  there are attending life-guards for your safety. We went there Friday morning which is awesome because there are no one else yet but us! LOL! The best time to swim in Rainforest is during weekdays. :)

There are also available cottages on the pool side wherein you can use it for lunch or picnic which costs a few pesos (Php 100/Php 50)

Since Rainforest Park is quite popular among Pasiguenios, don’t be surprised if you found the pool jammed packed with visitors during weekends especially on Sundays.

The Park also has a Mini Zoo for kids to enjoy. We saw ostriches, birds, crocodiles, monkeys, snakes and a lot more.

We got to see the Butterfly Garden as well which is relatively a small area but I think their making some changes for 2013 and I hope to see some improvements this year. The park also has Mini Train but I did not get to take a ride because they are still renovating the place. I hope it will be available next month! :)

Overall, the place is a great way to escape from the hassle and bustle of the City. It is located in Metro Manila and the amenities are easy on the budget. Rainforest Park is a public resort that the City government created for its residence and other people to enjoy. Since I am from Pasig, I get to have some discounts on most of the amenities they offer such as on their Water Theme Park (swimming), Butterfly Garden and Mini Zoo. The entrance for the Park is free meaning, you can still stroll around on the park without spending a dime. Most of the amenities are quite cheap ~ aside from the convenience that I don’t need to go away from the metro. :)

For Pasig Residents the Water Park Theme only costs you Php 60 (adults), Php 30 (for kids below 3 ft.) and Php 48 for Senior Citizen. Make sure to bring some ID’s such as postal ID or passport if you live is Pasig. The entrance fee for  Butterfly Garden is just 5 pesos and the Mini Zoo is like less than 15 pesos per person.

For Non-Pasig the Water Park fee is Php 100 (adults), Php 80 (kids below 3 ft.) and Php 80 for lolo and lola. The cottages at pool will cost only you at around 100 pesos for the whole family.

You can bring some food or baon to save some money
